Texas Music Office leader to leave post in February

The longtime director of the Texas Music Office says Gov.-elect Greg Abbott has chosen not to keep him and already has a replacement in mind.

Director Casey Monahan tells the Austin American-Statesman that his last day will be in February. He was hired 25 years ago as the state's top ambassador to the music industry when the office was created under Gov. Bill Clements in 1990.
