Texas Hospital Worker Diagnosed With TB, More Than 700 Infants Exposed To TB Risk

Department of Health, El Paso, Texas proclaimed on Monday that more than 700 infants and 40 health care workers at Providence Memorial Hospital have been exposed to TB. This has come to light as one of the employees at the hospital who worked with infants and post-partum patients came in with an active TB case between September 2013 and August 2014.

During that period, the employee came in contact with 706 infants and 43 workers, according to the records of the hospital.
