Tesla committed to releasing quarterly delivery numbers 3 days after the quarter and has been doing that. If they hadn't in this case, you probably would have asked what they are hiding.

You nailed him. He's a hit and run artist and won't be back
Production has soared.

Classic. Sales miss release over a three day weekend. Musk, the P.T. Barnum of the financial markets.

You people say the dumbest stuff. Most everything Tesla has ever received resulted from the Energy Independence Act of 2007. Do you have a clue who was ppresident in 2007?Do some research before you post in ignorance.

Yes, as the prices have come down and subsidies have risen, the ripoff spreads. In any case, the power losses and tax credits
Where do you think the energy comes from to recharge the Tesla batteries? Also, are you comfortable having a battery graveyard behind your house? Can I assume you're fine with keeping the government subsidies coming for $80,000 Teslas?

TSLA is probably the short of the decade, but it takes guts. Obama has Tesla's back, as do the Dems in Congress. Subsidizing wealthy consumers works for the Greens in DC.
Even with tax payer provided subsidies to the buyers, they can't hit their goals. ?
OI see no reason not to buy the power at wholesale, but paying retail for it is a bit much.

It's good that they missed their target sales. That means they bleed less of taxpayers' money.

It's always manana with these guys. Tomorrow will be great, production will soar and we will be profitable. Mr. Barnum, you have met your match.
There must be 6 new Tesla articles in the WSJ every week. I'ld bet that Ford, General Motors or any other car manufacturer on the planet for that matter, wonders how Tesla is getting so much free publicity from the WSJ.
There are people in this country who'll believe/buy anything, no matter how much it costs them. Elon Musk is the Buffalo Bill of the 21st century.

Hey mike- quit pumping this beast. The title should have been 'tesla misses Big'. They predicted 17k just 45 days ago- days before Goldman unloaded stock- and yet only delivered 14, 370. That's a big miss and if they miraculously hit the 50k for 2nd half, that means they would not hit their guidance of 80-90k for the year-again. It's all bs and you know it.

The inclusion of the word "haters" in any post immediately provides insight into the intellect of the poster. The rest of the post confirmed those suspicions.
What I want to know is where is Tesla going to get all the cobalt needed for its lithium batteries? Most of it comes from shaky sources in Africa. There are only a couple of N. American sources of cobalt, and one of these, a cobalt mine in Idaho, is not even up and running yet.
Tesla was overheard to remark that they intend to keep on truckin'.
