Teens Increasing Long-term Contraception Methods

A study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Population Affairs unveiled that use of long-term contraceptive methods increased among teenagers in the past decade. Use of the contraceptive methods has increased but the most effective contraceptive method known as long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) has not increased. Its use is still low all around the nation.

The American Academy of Pediatricians and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists have been suggesting for a long time that LARC should be used.
