Teal pumpkins let kids with allergies know treats are safe

Anaphylaxis Canada is encouraging people to “think outside the candy box” and give out toys instead.

When Sherry Boguski’s toddler suddenly spit out a Reese’s Pieces and started clutching his throat while they were out for dinner, Boguski didn’t immediately recognize it as a sign of anaphylaxis. Luckily, an emergency room nurse seated nearby advised her to get him to a hospital “like yesterday.”
