A colorful campaign gaining attention in the United States — and Western New York — aims to make Halloween a little less scary for children with food allergies.

As part of the Teal Pumpkin Project, promoted by the Food Allergy Research & Education organization, those who choose to give out goodies to trick-or-treaters on Halloween are encouraged to paint a pumpkin teal and leave it on their front steps as a sign to families with children with food allergies...
