Taliban leader warns against an Afghan security pact with U.S.

Mullah Mohammed Omar threatens attacks if such an agreement is signed. He also calls for Afghans to boycott next year's presidential election.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The reclusive head of the Taliban in Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammed Omar, warned that his fighters would continue their attacks if Kabul signed a "colonial" security agreement with the United States, with grave consequences for Afghanistan, the U.S. and other foreign governments.
