
“Taken 3” had no problem taking first place at the box office this weekend, with the latest installment of the Liam Neeson franchise collecting an impressive $40.4 million.
“Selma,” the acclaimed film about Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1965 civil-rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Ala., expanded to wide release. It collected $11.2 million in second place, bringing its total gross to $13.5 million.
