On Wednesday, paleontologists reported that they discovered the fossil remains of a new species of dinosaur in Venezuela. These dinosaurs apparently lived in a wet, volcano-filled equatorial rift valley that is surrounded to the north and south by extensive deserts.
Paleontologists are calling the new dinosaur as Tachiraptor admirabilis. The team also explained how they named the species. First is Tachira, which is the place in Venezuelan state from where this fossil was unearthed and the other is raptor, which means "thief" in Latin.
