Swedish womb transplant pioneer to train city docs

Dr. Mats Brannstrom, the Swedish pioneer who led the transplant team in the operation which eventually led to the birth of the world's first baby from a transplanted womb in September, is arriving in the city later this month to train city doctors in the same cutting-edge technology.

The three-day conference scheduled for October 31-November 2 is being organised by the International Institute for Training and Research in Reproductive Health (IITRRH) at the Le Merdien.
