Swedish center-left opposition aims at narrow lead as voting begins in parliamentary elections

Parliamentary elections have kicked off in Sweden, with center-left opposition targeting a narrow lead, according to the latest opinion polls. The preliminary results are due at 20:00 GMT.

The center-left Social Democrats, who have been polling about 30 percent, are basing their political program on increased jobs, education and healthcare spending. The funds they plan to allocate are 40 billion crowns ($5.6 billion).
