Surrendered Lord's Resistance Army rebel commander to be tried by ICC in The Hague

KAMPALA, Uganda – Uganda's military says the Lord's Resistance Army rebel commander who surrendered to American troops last week will be taken to The Hague for trial.

Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda, Uganda's army spokesman, said Tuesday that Dominic Ongwen will be tried at the International Criminal Court. He has been wanted by the court for nearly a decade.
