Surgery Gave Second Life to Conjoined Twins

It's been 10 years now that Carl and Clarence, both 12 and conjoined twins at birth, underwent surgery at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Due to the surgery, they are now able to lead their own lives.

Arlene Aguirre, mother of the boys, shared that when they were born at home (in the Philippines), doctors told her to choose the one who has to live. She could not make the choice, but such a question was not asked from her in the Bronx.
