"Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" held its world premiere on Sunday afternoon at the Eccles Theatre in Park City. Sundance Director John Cooper introduced the film, noting that when he watched it the first time, he knew it was a pace setter for the festival.
"This is the one that sets the bar," Cooper said of his thoughts after first viewing the movie. " Either you have to go above it or below it -- that's what we knew when this film crossed our programming desk."
