Scientists find that erythritol, found in the sweetener Truvia®, is a potent insecticide.

Researchers at Drexel University in Philadelphia have found that the sugar substitute, erythritol, found in Truvia® may be safe for humans but toxic to some insects. And, amazingly, they could not have made this discovery without the help of a sixth-grader.
