The link between red meat and cancer is already known, and now, a team of researchers have found the exact cause of this link. Apparently, it is the presence of a sugar molecule in red meat that enters the body tissues and causes inflammation, thereby increasing the risk of cancer.

These findings seem to be in complete contradiction with the previous beliefs that red meat causes cancer due to harmful chemicals which are released when it is grilled.
