Study: Walking Works Wonders for Prostate Cancer Survivors

Prostate cancer survivors who walk on a regular basis are considerably more likely to recover strongly than those leading more sedentary lifestyles, new research suggests. The results of a new study carried out at Northwestern University in Chicago showed that regular light exercise had the potential to speed up the recovery of prostate cancer patients, who are often left with an array of life-affecting symptoms and health complaints following successful treatment.

Led by Siobhan Phillips, the team looked at the cases of around 51,000 former prostate cancer patients for whom treatment had been successful and the all-clear been given.
