Study: This Type of Sleep May Reduce Diabetes Risk

While missing sleep increases the risk of getting the disease, a new study suggests that “catch-up” sleep might reverse that risk in the short-term.

Research suggests that getting just four or five hours of sleep a night can boost type 2 diabetes risk by nearly 20%. Two extra days of sleep — during the weekend perhaps — could reverse that risk.
