Study Finds Giant Galapagos Tortoises Foraging for Foreign Flora

The giant tortoises of the Galapagos Islands can weigh upwards of 500 pounds so you can imagine that what they eat is very important. But with human influence and with climate change, even these majestic, historic animals may have the need to adapt to shifts in biology.

Stephen Blake, a Washington University honorary research scientist, explains, “Biodiversity conservation is a huge problem confronting managers on the Galapagos Islands.”
