Now that Man has conquered the moon and is working on conquering Mars, the next spectacular space destination for potential exploration may be Venus. Studies indicate that it is actually very similar to Earth—with similar gravity and atmospheric conditions—except for the fact that it is closer to the sun and thus much hotter and the air is acidic.

Still, there are ideas about setting up a cloud city several miles above the surface, where one or two explorers could run tests for future analysis.
