Many people taking a daily aspirin to ward off heart attacks — one in 10 in a national database of 119 cardiology practices — are doing more harm than good, a new study finds.

Aspirin is well-established for preventing heart trouble in those who’ve experienced a previous heart attack, and many people take it in hopes they’ll never experience one.
