Student, 17, takes part in Smithsonian art exhibition

A Fairfax County student is among 56 artists — and the youngest of the group — to be chosen for a Smithsonian Institution exhibit on the National Mall.

The work of Maya Chung, a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, is being featured in the Artists at Work exhibition on display at the Smithsonian's Ripley Center. Chung is a volunteer at the museum's Q?rius science education lab.
