Canadians may be in for bad news as researchers have warned that a heart-rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation is on the rise among older people in the country.

They further warn that the condition goes undetected in standard testing procedures, leaving patients untreated and prone to potentially disabling or fatal strokes.
