A Strike That MLS Can’t Afford

With the Major League Soccer season scheduled to open on Friday, commissioner Don Garber spent Wednesday facing a major roadblock in his 10-year plan to turn MLS into one of the world’s top leagues: a potential strike.

The league, which is supposed to begin its 20th season this weekend, slogged through another long day of negotiations with its players for a new collective bargaining agreement.
