Stone Age tools reveal early widespread innovation

A well preserved archaeological site and thousands of stone artifacts have shed light on early innovation during the Stone Age. A study published Thursday details the findings, and explains the implications of the simultaneous use of two distinct types of technologies.

In the study, published in Science, researchers presented data from Nor Geghi 1, a site in Armenia which is believed to be over 300,000 years old.
