NEW YORK - The U.S. stock market drifted between gains and losses Thursday afternoon as investors sifted through the latest batch of corporate earnings reports. Major markets in Europe fell amid renewed concerns that Greece could default on its debts.
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 45 point to 18,158 as of 2:27 p.m. ET. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose three points to 2,110 and the Nasdaq composite gained four points, to 5,015.
