Sting steers Broadway's 'Last Ship' with pride, charisma

NEW YORK — Sting has one big rock-star moment in The Last Ship, the stirring new Broadway musical that he has scored, and is now appearing in through Jan. 24. As Jackie White, the foreman of a shipyard in Northern England that's being closed down, he has been sitting in a local pub, sulking, while the local priest proposes that Jackie and his crew make a statement by building just one more vessel.
