Researcher conducted on mice with gliobastoma multiforme found that when a gel containing stem cells containing the herpes virus was applied to stem cells, the survival rate of the mice significantly increased.

The leader of the study, Khalid Shah, and his team injected the herpes virus into human mesenchymal stem cells, and then injected the stem cells into the tumors in mice.
