State lawmakers convene special hearing to scrutinize Texas' response to 1st US Ebola case

AUSTIN, Texas — State lawmakers are scrutinizing how medical officials handled the first confirmed U.S. case of Ebola at a Dallas hospital.

At the same time, the Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee also will assess the state's overall readiness for coping with the virus and other dangerous diseases.
