There was a time when RadioShack was the tech retailer to be reckoned with, but with the company having since filed for bankruptcy in February, it had agreed to sell a good percentage of its stores to mobile carrier Sprint. Not long after Standard General had won 1,740 RadioShack stores at a bankruptcy auction, Sprint announced yesterday that it will be opening stores inside a total of 1,435 RadioShack outlets across America. These stores will soon be co-branded with signage representing both companies.
According to Sprint’s press release, the carrier is beginning the process of exclusively selling its own smartphones and tablets, including the Samsung Galaxy S6, together with other RadioShack products and accessories in these stores.
