Spoon for unsteady hands now available from Google-acquired start-up

A spoon equipped with sensors capable of detecting tremors in the hand has been released by Lift Labs, which was a start-up funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) before being acquired by Google in September.

Called Liftware, once its sensors detect the user's tremors, the spoon responds by neutralizing their effect, for the lower half moves independently of the upper.
