Spanish Ebola nurse condition becomes worse

MADRID, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The condition of Teresa Romero, the Spanish nursing auxiliary who was the first person outside of Africa to contract the Ebola virus worsened during Sunday night and the early hours of Monday morning, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Photos taken from outside of the hospital even showed her to be sitting up in her bed in the Carlos III Hospital in Madrid as she approached the start of the second week after first developing symptoms of the illness.
