SpaceX Files Lawsuit against US Air Force over Creating Monopoly for ULA

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of SpaceX, has filed a lawsuit against the US Air Force over claims that the military is currently practicing an unfair billing process, which leads taxpayers to pay millions. Musk - recently debuted a rocket to use in a mission for Mars - made the first announcement about the lawsuit during a press conference last month. During that time, he clearly said that his lawsuit action is intended to bring an end to a process that has provided undue advantage to United Launch Alliance (ULA).

ULA is one of SpaceX's principal competitors and Musk perceives a process used by the Air Force as a way that has created a monopoly for ULA, which is a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
