SpaceX has taken a giant leap towards the accomplishment of its ORBCOMM OG2 mission. It conducted the Static Fire test at 3pm local time on Friday. It is hoped that the test will allow realignment of the Falcon 9 v1.1 rocket with the launch of the satellites in window that are set to open at 09:21 local time on Monday.
The test, conducted from Cape Canaveral, is designed to clear the rocket for launch. The Cape testing was conducted inside the Hanger and out on the SLS-40 Pad.
