Space Novel Author Sues Warner Bros. for Gravity

Tess Gerritsen, author of a 1999 space adventure novel called Gravity is suing Warner Bros. in a breach of contract complaint. The author, who also wrote the books that inspired TNT’s drama Rizzoli & Isles, wants $10 million plus damages and a “based on the book by Tess Gerritsen” credit.

Gerritsen’s book is also about a woman trapped in space, though hers involves a virus, which Alfonso Cuaron’s film does not.
