Space Launch System rocket readied for major tests

The RS-25 rocket engine has been placed on a test platform.

According to a NASA statement, the space agency’s new heavy-lift rocket, the Space Launch System (SLS), is a major step closer to the testing phase. On July 17, engineers at the Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis in Mississippi installed an RS-25 rocket engine on the A-1 Test Stand.
