South Korea and Japan Reach Deal on Wartime ‘Comfort Women’

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea and Japan reached a landmark agreement on Monday to resolve the longstanding dispute over Korean women who were lured or forced into sexual slavery for Japanese soldiers during World War II.

The agreement was announced in Seoul after a meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
