South Australia Wildfires Remain Risk as Weather Helps in Fight

Wildfires described as South Australia’s worst in more than three decades destroyed at least a dozen homes and injured 22 people, prompting the government to warn of increasing threats from out-of-control blazes.

While a drop in temperatures today helped crews battle the fires east of South Australia’s capital, Adelaide, concerns remain for some areas, according to Premier Jay Weatherill. None of the injuries so far are serious, and there are no reports of people missing, he said.
