South Africa, Namibia say airline ban on hunting trophies will hurt economy, conservation

JOHANNESBURG – Some African countries that allow hunting are criticizing a decision by Delta Air Lines and other carriers to ban the transport of hunting trophies.

The South African government said in a statement Thursday that it is disappointed at Delta's announcement this week that it will no longer accept lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo trophies.
