Sony Pictures Entertainment on Tuesday named Tom Rothman, a former executive of Fox Filmed Entertainment and TriStar, to head its Motion Picture Group. Rothman replaces Amy Pascal, who stepped down recently after a public relations fiasco stemming from the exposure of her e-mail account after a massive hacking at Sony Pictures.
