Over the past couple of years, Brett Eldredge has coolly set himself up as a dashing alternative to tailgate-party country. Lose My Mind, the first single from a new album due later this year, combines a manically insistent groove with call-and-response slide-guitar hooks to set up the jangled-nerve joyfulness Eldredge feels about a lover that makes "all my screws come loose." Pay close attention, and you might catch a nod to Gnarls Barkley's 2006 pop hit Crazy.
Written with Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan, Eldredge's Lose My Mind should join previous hits Don't Ya, Beat of the Music and Mean to Me near the top of the country charts.
