Smokeout by American Cancer Society

Quitting cigarette smoking is not an easy task. The American Cancer Society is well aware of the difficulty of quitting as well as the deadly effects it has on so many Americans. On November 20th they are inviting everyone to quit smoking for at least twenty four hours in hopes more smokers will stop and be able to celebrate more birthdays.

For years studies have shown the addiction to cigarettes is strong, stronger than the addiction to heroin. It takes at least three solid weeks of no cigarettes and many side effects to fight through.
