SMN Weekly – Spacewalks schedule is out, ISS astronauts are ready to begin their walk with the stars

This Friday, two American astronauts are supposed to do their first spacewalk of the year outside International Space Station but it was moved for the following day. NASA said the spacewalks are necessary to prepare to new two docking ports that the agency will be adding to the space station.

The spacewalks are part of NASA’s plan of International Space Station overhaul. By 2017, NASA will be flying its astronauts with American spacecraft hence a new docking port is being prepared for them. For the initial schedule, there will be three spacewalks, the first one this Saturday, February 21...
