Smartphone app will help Md. map invasive plants

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is promoting a smartphone application that helps scientists track the spread of invasive plants.

Ecologist Kerrie Kyde (kyde) says the Mid-Atlantic Early Detection Network app is available for iPhone and Android devices. She's planning to hold four workshops around the state this spring or summer to teach people how to use it.
