Small Trial Shows Promise For Hodgkin Lymphoma Drug

Dr. Joshua Brody is the director of the Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He says, “Many people may know of actor Michael C. Hall, of television’s ‘Dexter,’ who battled the disease in 2010.”

While he was not involved with the study, he comments that Hodgkin lymphoma is usually quite responsive to chemotherapy. But in those special few patients which do not respond to traditional treatments like chemotherapy, the condition is basically incurable and, thus, deadly.
