'Small-time artist' earns his Grammy equivalent

Greg Latta, a musician of all trades who sings, writes songs and plays multiple instruments, is a recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award.

Latta was selected from more than 400 applicants. This year's recipients created work of exceptional quality within a range of performing, literary and visual art forms, according to the council.
