Small Study Suggests Link Between Pneumonia and CVD

In a recent, community-based cohort study, hospitalization for pneumonia has been associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, the study authors consider that this should be considered an independent risk factor for developing stroke, heart attack, or other related events.
