After a six year gap between studio albums, Slipknot have returned with a vengeance. The band’s new disc, ‘.5: The Gray Chapter,’ has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 131,000 copies. It’s the band’s second consecutive trip to the top of the chart. 2008′s ‘All Hope Is Gone’ also topped the Billboard 200.
‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ is a worldwide success, also debuting at No. 1 in Japan, Australia, Canada, Russia and Switzerland. It had Top 5 debuts in the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico, Denmark and Finland.
