Sleepy Hollow: "Tempus Fugit" Review

If that’s it for Sleepy Hollow, whose lowered ratings this season make its future a bit more questionable, it’s a wonderful hour to end on. Gracefully bookending the pilot by having our Witnesses become friends all over again — with the twist that this time Abbie’s flung back to the past — the show takes full advantage of the marvelous chemistry that Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison have always displayed. I’m hoping this isn't a series finale, but everyone involved clearly knew that it might be and as a result all the battles, fights and quiet moments feel a bit more electric than usual.

The decision to throw Abbie back in time is one that seems obvious, but the show is really inspired here, showing the tricky sense of tone they've miraculously had from the start.
