Sleep deprivation leads teens to drinks and drugs: research

Sleep deprivation can push some teenagers into bad habits including alcohol abuse and drug consumption, according to a fresh study conducted by researchers at the University of Melbourne.

The researchers collected data on more than 6,000 teenagers, many of whom were suffering from insomnia and other sleep disorders. Some of them just didn't sleep for the recommended length of time.
